PARALLELOGRAMS IN ART

       Students created graffiti art using grid paper and geometric reasoning to incorporate special parallelograms into their artwork. They then found and analyzed each other's quadrilaterals. Examples of the class voted favorites are shown below:

FORCED PERSPECTIVE PROJECT

Students used Forced Perspective on our Similarity Unit to find scale factors and use ratios and proportions to find "trick" measurements.

Mr. Olsem is a 2012 graduate of St. John's University in Collegeville, MN with his Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and a 2015 graduate of Bethel University with his Master's Degree in Education. 

He has been teaching at Washington Technology Magnet School for 3 years, and is currently teaching Geometry and Math Support.
